Cheri, My "favorite for today," this is one of the funniest pictures I've ever seen! Many of us, I'm sure, with rural-type mailboxes can relate to "mailbox issues," but this is over the top. This person is not going to give up!! Thanks for the laugh and for putting a big smile on my face today...something we all need during these trying times. f/v

Hanne, thanks for your compliment and support! I hadn't thought about storms, but that is a possibility as tornadoes are prevalent in this area.

What a great shot, Cheri!!! This mailbox has either seen too many storms or too many teenagers with baseball bats! v/f

Anne, thanks for commenting on this one. I'm glad that you found it amusing. I'm not sure of the reasoning by the owner. It was in a rural area, and I know that sometimes for sport teenagers will drive along and "whack" mailboxes with a baseball bat. Perhaps that's what has been going on in this area. Thanks for your F/V!

Cheri, I too find this interesting and amusing. YOU are so good at finding unique and fascinating captures. It always makes me wonder about the people. In this case, I wonder about the people who own this mailbox. Perhaps they have had mail stolen or just want to keep their mailbox from falling apart. F/V

A delightfully silly find, Cheri. It is hard to image what is going through the owner's mind. :) v/f
