Description
On a frosty January twilight, I captured the crescent moon and evening star above the rooftops of the small village of Tabor, Czech Republic, located in the South Bohemian Region. It is named after Mount Tabor, which is believed by many to be the place of the Transfiguration of Christ; however, the name became popular and nowadays translates to "camp" or "encampment" in the Czech language
Almost like a view from Santa's sleigh, one can see the frosty twilight as the sun sets beyond the distant hills. Above a crescent moon shines along with the evening star. Nestled in the hillside are twinkling lights of distant farm houses and cottages, while below you in the village one finds the slate roof tops and chimney pots forming the near landscape. Glimmers of light pour forth from the houses giving a feeling of warmth and welcome. The photograph was captured during the "blue hour" of twilight just before darkness descends on the earth, enhancing the colors of lavender blue, mauve, chocolate with the faint glow of persimmon on the horizon indicating the last rays of sunlight.
Note: This image has been processed with a watercolor type filter and will reproduce most effectively on a matte surface such as watercolor paper or Somerset Velvet.

Thanks, William. Actually, the hotel was small only 22 rooms on 4 floors, and we were in the garret, but the view was downhill out the window, so it appears higher. Glad you enjoyed this one & I appreciate the F/V.
