Cheri... I absolutely loved reading about "Black Pearl" , its history and inhabitants! Your research and stories add so much to your incredible images! F/V

Cheri Randolph replied:

Hi Catherine, I'm glad that you enjoyed my "Black Pearl" gallery. I love living in the neighborhood, and hope to add to this collection as time permits. The neighborhood is full of history, but it is very viable even today. Thanks for commenting and supporting my art. Cheri

So wonderfully cheerful! VF!

Cheri Randolph replied:

Hi Byron, you are certainly correct! It's one of those "fun" shotguns in NOLA. Thanks for the V/F!

Artist's Description

Near the Mississippi River in the Black Pearl Neighborhood of New Orleans you will find a collection of shotgun houses, which were once home to the domestic workers who serviced the large stately homes on St. Charles Avenue. Part of my Black Peal Series. For additional information see Gallery Description.

Note: This photograph has been processed utilizing a watercolor filter and will reproduce most effectively on a matt surface such as watercolor or somerset velvet paper.
