Cheri, I posted this image on the main discussion board on my thread about travel. I am sure many will enjoy your Cuba gallery as much as I did. voted

Rene, thanks for your comment and suggestion. I had intended to process a few of these in monotones because of the vintage nature of many of the subjects, but hadn't gotten to it because of recent extensive travel. Since you were interested, I started with this one. Check out my Cuba Gallery for the Sepia tone version.

Cheri, Great photo of the past in the present. The color stand out is fabulous......... I would love to see you ALSO post this great capture in Monochrome. Color is great, but there is certain mystique of keeping the past in the past and that is excellently accomplished in B/W...V PS. If you decide to also do monochrome, be sure to have good sharp contrast of the whites and the blacks. (which is difficult to accomplish)

Artist's Description

In addition to Ernest and Mary Hemingway, other celebs were regular patrons including; Spencer Tracy, Ezra Pound, and Graham Greene among others. A creative bartender/owner designed a new drink in the early 1930s called the 'frozen daiquiri', and the rest, as they say, is history!
